1837-1842 William Henry Riall - banker.
1843 John Hackett -first Catholic mayor. Borough extended during his mayoralty. John Hackett is buried in the front garden of Sts. Peter & Paul's Church, beside the side door (i.e the high cross). His name appears all over town on the cast iron Boro' Boundary markers.
1845 Charles Bianconi -world famous for his carriage/transport business.
1869 Thomas Cantwell - buried in Marlfield Graveyard.
1873,1874 & 1881 Edward Cantwell -Borough also extended during his mayoralty.
1886 Benjamin Wright - opened new St. Patrick's Cemetery in 1886. Cemetery used for all religions, and none.
