St. Patrick's Cemetery

The original cemetery is laid out in Sections, numbered 1 to 8, and all graves in these sections are currently sold. A new area (Sections 9 to 15) was opened to cater for the coming years. Although the plots in Sections 1 to 8 are all owned, many graves may have no occupants. Similarly, many graves, although occupied, do not have headstones. Unfortunately, about 1 in 25 to 30 headstones are unreadable, due to wear and tear, and so no image is shown along with the burial record.

Using the search link on the Menu, you can search for graves by surname, or by year of death; or browse either by surname-part, or by section.

The records show the plot row, and the plot line where the grave is located, as well as an image of the headstone, where available, and which will also show all other occupants of the grave/plot. Each person on each headstone is listed separately in the database to allow it to show individual names rather than just surnames, and consequently the headstone image is the only place where all the plot occupants are listed together.
